The new bilge pumps operate using an internal level sensor which makes them operate when the water reaches 5 cm in height and switches them off after the removal (Auto Sense Intelligence). If the level sensor becomes contaminated with debris or contaminated water, the unique backup function prevents the pump from operating continuously, protecting the battery while maintaining automatic operation. The pumps are equipped with a non-return valve to prevent the backflow of the water which stagnating would provoke bad odors
