Gas detector MTCO senses the presence of carbon monoxide in the air. An acoustic signal indicates the presence of gas in the air before it takes effect on people in the cabin of small boats. Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas produced by incomplete combustion of any fossil fuel. It is odorless, tasteless and colorless and can leak from pipes, cooking stoves and heating systems not perfectly maintained or damaged. Each sensor is tested and calibrated with the reference gas.
